Stairs and parapets
A stair is assembled from flights and landings modelled as slabs. A parapet is an element of its own, standing on a slab or a beam.
Stair: model the parts
- Model each flight with
MODEL_SLAB, Polyline option, from a 3D polyline with its vertices in one plane: the result is an inclined slab. - Model each landing as a horizontal slab, drawn at its level.
- Run
STAIR_DEFINE(Define stair, Stair menu) and select all the parts of one stair:Select the SLAB parts of ONE staircase (flights + landings):.
From this moment the parts are flights and landings of the stair, they no longer appear in the slab plans, and they get starting reinforcement.
Stair: reinforce
STAIR_REBAR (Stair rebar) asks for one part of the stair, then the bottom and top longitudinal bars, the transverse bars, the starter bars and the lap length at the kinks. The values apply to the whole stair.
Stair: what appears on the sheets
- The longitudinal section at 1:50, with the steps drawn schematically and the bottom and top bars of each part.
- At the kinks the bars lap or cross, as the shape requires; free ends get a hook.
- The distribution bars, detailed under the section.
- The formwork plan of the stair, at 1:50, with the step lines.
- The
REINF_Stairssheet of the level (ARMA_Scari), with its schedule. Starter bars are drawn with a note and counted on the sheet of the element they go into.
Stair: good to know
- Steps are not modelled in 3D; they appear in the drawings only.
- The section follows a single run of flights and landings. Two parallel flights sharing a landing are defined as separate stairs, so that each has its own section.
Parapets
MODEL_PARAPET (Parapet 3D, Parapet menu) asks Insertion method [Two-points/One-point] <Two-points>, the points on the bottom axis, Thickness BW [cm] <15> and Height HP [cm] <100>. The parapet stands on the top face of the level, and the slab or beam under it is found automatically.
PARAPET_REBAR_SET(Parapet rebar) sets the reinforcement, from a template or with your values: vertical bars, starter bars and top bars. Several parapets can be selected.- At
PLANS, each parapet gets a section, an elevation, a plan and the detailed bars, next to the slab plans. - The schedule needs no command of its own: the parapet sheet gets its schedule at
PLANS, like any reinforcement plan. In the model drawing,EXTRAS(aliasREBAR_SCHEDULE_DRAW, the Rebar schedule button) counts the parapet bars too. - If you change a reinforcement label of the parapet by hand,
PARAPET_SYNC(Sync parapet) takes the value into the model and rebuilds the views.
