Beta, referrals and the educational license

The conditions of the special programmes in the Terms, Section 8(6)–(9). The programmes apply only under these conditions, published before ordering, and do not limit the statutory rights of consumers: withdrawal, the 14-day guarantee and the conformity of the software.
1. Closed beta
The closed beta takes place before sales open and is by invitation, for the persons and companies accepted by UNITAR SOFT. Access is free, with no card and every feature, for the period stated in the invitation. It uses the beta channel, which gets fixes earlier but may contain errors (Terms Section 16(4)): keep copies of your drawings. We ask for feedback and bug reports, without any obligation. Your name or your company's, a testimonial or a drawing made with the software is published only with your written consent, which you can withdraw at any time. At the end of the beta the test key stops and nothing is charged. If you subscribe in the launch period, until 28 January 2027 inclusive, you get the launch price of EUR 39 / month or EUR 390 / year per user, excluding VAT, kept for 24 months from the first payment as long as the subscription stays active without interruption (Section 8(2)–(3)).
2. Referrals
The referrer is a customer with a paid, active UNITAR STRUCT subscription. The referred person is an individual or a company that has not had a paid UNITAR STRUCT subscription before. The referral is recorded automatically when the referred person subscribes through the personal referral link, which the referrer receives in our subscription confirmation email. If the link was not used, either of them writes to office@unitarsoft.com with the subject «Referral» and the email addresses both used for their orders, before the referred customer's first payment or within 30 days of it. After the new customer's first payment, and once the 14 days of the refund guarantee have passed without a refund or withdrawal request, each of them gets one free month for the whole subscription, additional seats included: we extend the subscription by one month, that is, we move the next billing date one month later, on monthly and annual subscriptions alike. The month is granted through Dodo Payments, with no payment and no separate invoice. We email you when the month has been granted, with the new billing date.
3. Referral limits
A referrer gets at most 12 free months in a calendar year. You cannot refer yourself or your own company, nor the same person or company under another email address. The free month has no cash value and cannot be transferred; it is granted only if the subscription is active on the date we grant it. If the new customer's first payment is refunded later, a month not yet granted is no longer granted.
4. The educational license
The free educational license is granted to students (bachelor, master, doctorate) and teaching staff of higher education institutions who use the institution's email address. It lasts 12 months, for one user (2 computers), with every feature, no card and no billing at all; at the end of the 12 months the license stops, and your drawings remain yours, open and editable in the CAD application. You can request it again for another 12 months while you keep that status. The license is only for learning, teaching and non-commercial research: it is not used for paid projects, for work delivered to a client or in a company's business. If the license is used otherwise, we may stop it after telling you by email.
5. How to request the educational license
Write to office@unitarsoft.com from your institution's email address, with the subject «Educational license»: your name, institution, faculty and status (year of study or teaching position). If the address does not clearly show your status, we may ask for proof, such as a student card or a certificate. We usually answer within 5 business days and email you the activation steps.
6. Personal data
The data sent for these programmes (names, email addresses, institution, status and its proof) is used only to grant and check the benefit, under the Privacy policy (unitar.net/confidentialitate?lang=en). The proof of status is deleted after the check.
7. Common rules
Programme benefits do not add up on the same subscription, and the educational license is not combined with referrals. We may change or end a programme for the future, with notice on this page; benefits already granted or confirmed by email remain valid. Questions: office@unitarsoft.com.
